In 2021, the Edna J. Aliewine Foundation gifted Wattskanda with a 56-year-old legacy formerly known as the "Watts-Willowbrook Christmas Parade". The 3rd Watts Renaissance is a cultural movement to preserve the past, transform the present, and build a network to mold future inclusive, healthy and sustainable spaces via educational engagements of empowerment. The new name, "3rd Watts Renaissance Parade" represents the current transition in the community and the need to celebrate the beautiful history and culture for the archives and to educate about the resilience and greatness of the Watts-Willowbrook community.
The impacts of COVID and many natural and manmade disasters has peaked, and our global response is the African Institute of Agriculture to replenish the basics of the economy, so we may flourish globally.
